The most popular diving sites are:
- The Paradise reef for its wide diversity of marine life.
- The Tragonisi isle which is isolated & uninhabited with spectacular rock formations.
- Lia beach, a challenging diving spot, where the wreck Anna II is located.
- Kalafati beach, where you can find octopuses, groupers and many shoals of barracudas and mackerels.
Peloponnesos ship wreck
The “Peloponnesos” ship, which was built in 1862 in Glasgow, sank in 1926 in the north-east part of Mykonos.
It is still in a very good condition but, due to its depth, this is a diving site for experienced divers.
Parts of the ship are found in the shallows and the well-preserved tail, in deep waters.
The wreck serves as an artificial reef attracting an incredible diversity of marine life.
Anna II
“Anna II” is a cargo ship of 62 meters, which sank in 1995 in the south-east part of Mykonos.
It is located on Lia beach, at the depth of 25m and is still in great condition, accessible for some exploration.
The surrounding area is equally captivating, especially the reef and its colonies of sponges.
The wreck serves as a spectacular artificial reef, attracting an incredible diversity of marine life.
